ITEM: This lovely Whiting and Davis Art Deco, flapper era purse is made of enameled metal mesh with a chain handle and is as near perfect as we have ever seen. Our guess is that it was rarely used. The inside of the handbag still has it's original lining. The inside of the frame has a beautiful inscripture "ER to AB 1926." This kind of sentimental engraved detailing on a purse is RARELY seen! At the time these enameled purses were created, they were enameled by hand.

DIMENSIONS: 6 inches wide, 8.5 inches from top of frame to the bottom of the mesh. 

MATERIAL: Enameled metal mesh and silk lining.
